Thomas asks…

what are some good TV shows about pregnancy / childbirth?

like baby story or something. i can’t remember any of the names of them, or the channel & times they’re on… if you could help me out i’d really appreciate it!
i didn’t know that about Baby Story!
i would like to see natural childbirth, i’m particularly interested in the Bradley Method, and water births! possibly the use of a birthing ball… i’m going to TRY to be au naturale at first, as i have a very high pain tolerance…

admin answers:

NO BABY STORY – did you know that 46% of their deliveries are cesarean? That is higher than the national average (not by much, but still).
I say House of Babies, Miracle of Life or…
go to your local library and see if they have any of the following:
Born in the USA
Gentle Birth Choices
Kyla and the Baby
Laura asks…

I was a 34B before pregnancy and childbirth. Post delivery while nursing my baby I was a 34 D cup.?

After weaning, I lost a lot of weight around 8 kilos and my breast have shrunk to 34 A. I want to get back to a B cup. Is it possible to regain breast size if I gain weight and exercise?

admin answers:

If you gain weight it is possible, because the breast carries fatty tissue. How much fatty tissue, though, depends on the person. For me, My breasts are the first thing to gain and lose poundage. I have been as small as an A, and after pregnancy I am a DD, even after losing a lot of poundage. I have also known women who are very large and don’t have large breasts, and their breasts don’t get much bigger during pregnancy. Good luck on your endeavor!!!
Donald asks…

How would men cope if they had to go through pregnancy and childbirth ?

Don, this is Polls and Surveys, of course it’s a ridiculous question. Duh.
Wakey wakey.

admin answers:

Quite a few of us are already used to toting around that size belly so that part wouldn’t difficult. As to an exit, C-section has been around for a long time. Cravings? simple we’d give into them. Mood swings? We have those already. The only problem I see is added baby bloat to beer belly and trying to drive to work! On the positive side, when the water broke we could aim it!
Betty asks…

If you are physically active during your pregnancy will childbirth be less painful?

admin answers:

I was told the more active you are the easier childbirth will be. I swam a lot during my first pregnancy and honestly when my daughter was born I didn’t have any complications and it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would and how everyone was saying it would. Just walk a decent amount go swimming in an indoor pool if it’s to cold outside. It helps move your pelvic bone to get ready for labor. Don’t strain yourself to much though you still want to relax a little but just do your normal things during the day and rest when you need to. Good luck
